Kircher Study #4 is part of a series of works by Alice Palmer, inspired by a graph drawn by Athanasius Kircher, a 17th century polymath.
Initially using a similar layout of connecting points, Palmer has further explored the development of three-dimensional shapes and connects the points in new ways to create an optical illusion.

The canvas is painted in an acrylic titanium white and the black lines are sewn using a fine silk yarn.

There is a wire on the reverse, ready to hang.
