Using just a needle and thread, Palmer explores the relationship of geometric lines to form three dimensional shapes. The layout of connecting points was first inspired by a graph drawn by Athanasius Kircher, a 17th century polymath. Palmer has further explored the shapes obtained and uses them in new ways to push the boundaries of textile art.

The canvas is painted in acrylic titanium white and the black lines are made using silk yarn.
