Inspired by a picture of an Aurora Borealis, taken in Iceland, I was mesmerised by the amount of colours and challenged myself to translate these colours into textiles. 
There was a long process of placing the colours and noticing how the colour of a strand of yarn changes when placed next to different colours. 
I experienced a meditative process while creating this artwork and hope it brings a sense of calm to the viewer.
Knitted viscose yarn, with viscose fringing, hanging from a pine dowel which is 120cm long, 2.1cm diameter.
The textile hanging is 108cm width, 105cm height.
