This is the first of a new series exploring colour around the world.
This colour hoop explores colour found in an arial shot of the Anti-Atlas mountains in Morocco, taken by Nasa. The mountains formed as a result of the African and Eurasian tectonic plates colliding around 80 million years ago. I was drawn towards the colours found in the limestone, sandstone, claystone and gypsum layers.

Knitted viscose sewn around a wooden hoop.
Viscose strands.
